Skyrim Se Enb Fps
Project ENB (with CoT) always gave me issues in certain places (where the FPS would drop to 1-2). That shouldn't be possible with my rig. It is a combination of bad optimization and conflicts with mods/rendering. Boris, who runs the ENB Series, makes custom directx dll's that try to improve performance and graphics for games that can benefit from it. The dll for Skyrim is work-in-progress and may or may not fix the problem. – Precog DragonBorn Nov 20 '11 at 20:16.
This guide will explain how to solve performance problems or FPS drop in a simple and fast mode on two step. - Go to My DocumentsMy GamesSkyrim Special Edition and open 'SkyrimPrefs' and on the 'Display' search 'iVSyncPresentInterval=1' and replace '1' with '0' and save.If missing the string 'iVSyncPresentInterval' add it to the end of 'Display'.
- Now open 'NVIDIA Control Panel' by clicking the right mouse on the desktop and on 'Manage 3D Settings' go to 'Program Settings', 'Add' and find the Skyrim Special Edition installation folder ( usually is on C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonSkyrim Special Edition ), select SkyrimSe.exe and the list of the various settings select 'Mode Power Management' put 'Maximum Performance' and 'Vertical Sync' 'Fast'. Once that is done to 'Apply', close the panel and start the game.

I run skyrim maxed out with no AA at 1080 @ 60 fps (due to inherent v-sync the game imposes).
I recently installed the sharpshooter's ENB mod and it dropped my fps to 43, but whats weird is that no matter what I do it stays at 43 fps. Even if I look at a non-detailed area, like the ground or the sky. Occassionally it drops to maybe 41 or 42 but it pretty much stays at 43. I think clearly there is some artificial lock thats acting here. Any idea how to fix this, thanks!
My system
CPU: Core i5 750 @ 3.3 ghz
GPU: Pny GTX 670 @ stock
Ram: 8 GB DDR3
OS: Win 7 X64
